Introduction
The Foundation operates 14 shops in the southeast and separately runs a Christmas card and gift mail order service from our offices in Leatherhead.
The shops rely on many volunteer helpers to ensure that they are open for normal trading hours. Most of the shops sell a wide range of carefully selected donated goods including clothing, books and bric-à-brac while in four of our shops we also sell good quality second-hand furniture.
For further information about donating furniture, please phone the furniture shop nearest to you. Furniture shops are marked with an asterisk ( * ) at the bottom of the page.
In many cases, we can provide a collection and delivery service in areas close to these shops.
The Leatherhead shop has a small but cosy coffee shop selling cakes, biscuits and a wide selection of hot and cold drinks. Why not call in – open daily from 9.30 to 4.30 – to browse or buy: you will receive a warm welcome from our staff.
The mail order operation has two main aspects. we produce our own Christmas gift leaflet which we send to Foundation supporters throughout the country. In addition, we process Christmas card orders and pack cards for a number of other charities, a partnership that raises extra income for Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation and provides a first class fulfilment service for these other charities.
Much of the success of the Foundation’s trading activities is due to the many people who give freely of their time to help in the shops and the main warehouse – without them our ability to support the Foundation would be much reduced. We are always pleased to welcome new helpers.
