AIM: To support individuals to manage their physical and health care needs and promote realistic independence through personal care management training and the Personal Assistance Service
The team of Client Support Workers endeavours to provide the highest standard of care in a sensitive and personal manner. Staff offer a professional service, maintaining the respect and dignity of individuals. Each individual is allocated a key-worker who provides a consistent contact and style of support with everyday needs and accessing community service for health care appointments. Additionally, the key-workers work alongside individuals to identify training objectives and establish a personal care management training programme.
The Occupational Therapy Service provides the opportunity for individuals, who have developed a solid awareness of their support needs and the skills to direct staff, to adopt a greater level of responsibility and control for everyday activities of personal care and daily living.
Close links are maintained with the Occupational Therapy Department and community health services to ensure all aspects of individuals emotional and physical well-being are catered for through an inclusive and supportive style.
